I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biobehavioral Health at Penn State University.
Population health, rural health disparity, demography, public policy, age-friendly community, mixed methods
I am a social epidemiologist who specializes in social and structural determinants of health, with a focus on rural health disparities. My research interests include the multilevel (individual, community, state) and multidimensional factors that contribute to population health. My most recent research has focused on geographic differences in demographic structure (age, race, sex), public policy, social and structural determinants of health (income, education), and public health outcomes with a special interest in rural-urban differences.
